Job summary

OrthoCarolina is hiring a Part-Time Radiology Technologist for the University office in Charlotte, NC. The role involves providing diagnostic radiographs with strict radiation safety and protection standards, supporting physicians and patients throughout procedures.

Essential duties include positioning, communication with patients, safety, and accurate documentation. Requires ARRT-certified or registry-eligible technologists with orthopedic experience and CPR recommended.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program approved by the ARRT and AMA.
• Minimum of one year experience as an x-ray tech with orthopedic background.
• ARRT registry eligible.
• Current CPR certification recommended.
• Registered Radiology Tech by ARRT.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in positioning of radiological procedures.
• Communicates with patients to explain procedures and obtain history.
• Positions patients and selects exposure factors with radiation safety.
• Logs radiological procedures, processes charges and paperwork.
• Maintains cleanliness of examination rooms and stocks supplies.
• Assists with patient transportation and flow in the department.
