Job summary

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD with advanced OMFS training from an ADA-accredited program.
• Current Florida dental license or ability to obtain one.
• Strong diagnostic and treatment planning capabilities for student training.

Responsibilities

• Advise students during OMFS consultations.
• Provide third-year dental students with basic OMFS training in core procedures.
• Teach evaluation of oral pathology and perform soft tissue biopsies.
• Refer cases beyond student scope to private oral surgeons when needed.
• Respond to emergencies in LECOM Dental Group Practices and supervise patient care.
• Supervise nitrous oxide administration when sedation is used.
• Teach general dentistry faculty basic oral surgery procedures.
• Maintain professional communication and accurate patient data for assessment.
