Job summary

Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Erie, PA seeks a General Practice Dentistry Preceptor to train students in diagnosis, treatment planning and patient care, up to 20 hours weekly.

You will supervise a 10-15 chair practice, work with faculty and students, and teach Oral Diagnosis, Endodontics, Periodontics, Prosthodontics, Pediatrics, Orthodontics and Geriatrics in line with SDM and clinic manuals. Strong communication, HIPAA compliance and a PA license are preferred.

Qualifications

• General dentist with a D.D.S./D.M.D. degree or equivalent.
• Five+ years of general dentistry experience preferred.
• Pennsylvania dental license or ability to obtain one preferred.
• Experience teaching or supervising dental students is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnosis, treatment planning and patient care training to students.
• Supervise a 10–15 chair patient practice area.
• Adhere to LECOM SDM Standardization manual and clinic protocols.
• Instruct across disciplines: Oral Diagnosis, Endodontics, Periodontics, Prosthodontics, Pediatric dentistry, Orthodontics and Geriatrics.
• Coordinate with faculty and students to maintain patient flow and outcomes.
