Job summary

AZ Ortho Joint Replacement Center in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking an OR RN for a part-time role. You will provide nursing care in the surgical suite under supervision, ensure aseptic technique, and assist with patient transfer and pre-op preparation.

Qualifications include an active RN license, 1 year as a circulator, and ability to make nursing judgments. The center offers comprehensive benefits and a collaborative team environment within USPI’s network.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS, ACLS, or PALS as required by the center.
• A minimum of 1 year experience working as a Circulator.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.

Responsibilities

• Direct and assist in carrying out safe aseptic techniques and procedures.
• Supervise and direct activities of surgical technicians and non-professional personnel as necessary.
• Perform assessments of patients for specific nursing care needs.
• Check room for needed supplies and prepare room for patient and procedure.
• Assist in transporting patients to operating room and verify pre-op prep and permits.
• Perform clean up following procedures and general housekeeping duties.
• Set up operating room with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Participate in committees and educational programs to improve patient care.
• Review physicians' preference cards and update as needed.
• Perform counts and documentation of sponge, needle, and instruments.
