Job summary

Regent Surgical Health is seeking a Part-time OR RN to provide intraoperative nursing care in our Tampa, FL surgical center. Under Clinical Leadership you will monitor patients, maintain sterile technique, and support the surgical team during procedures.

This position offers a consistent 3-day-a-week schedule, Monday through Friday, with no on-call, weekends, or holidays. You will collaborate with physicians and staff to promote safe patient care and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• RN license in appropriate state
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification as required by ASC policy

Responsibilities

• Provide patients with intraoperative care in procedure rooms and operating rooms.
• Transport patients to and from operating/procedure room.
• Prepare patients for surgery by disinfecting skin and positioning them.
• Ensure proper supplies, equipment, and medications are ready for use.
• Verify name, strength and dosage of medication.
• Verify patient, procedure, operative site, positioning and equipment correspond.
• Responsible for 'timeout' per site verification policy.
• Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Assist surgeon during procedures with duties such as passing instruments and monitoring vital signs.
• Maintain documentation of nursing care to ensure quality care.
