Job summary

Shopko Optical in Omaha, NE is seeking a Part-time Optical Sales Associate to provide excellent patient and customer service in eyewear selection and dispensing. You will complete pre-screening activities, help with orders, and maintain frame inventory.

On‑the‑job training and certification opportunities are offered; prior experience is not required. Join a supportive team focused on caring for patients and communities.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Maintain license as required by state.
• To become Certified, complete Shopko OCE Certification requirements and calendar modules.
• Previous office and/or optical dispensing experience preferred.
• Able to handle multiple customer interactions/phone calls at a time.
• Able to analyze prescriptions and assist with eyewear needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer and patient service according to company and Optical Center standards.
• Analyze patient eyewear needs and recommend lenses, coatings and frames.
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and facial measurements.
• Order and dispense eyewear accurately and professionally.
• Assist patients with frame repairs and contact lens care.
• Operate a cash register and optical equipment; support store operations.
• Work evenings, weekends as needed.
