Responsibilities include operating and maintaining lab equipment (edger, lensometer), cutting and edging lenses, verifying measurements, assisting with eyewear dispensing and ensuring fit, and keeping the lab organized and clean. Excellent teamwork and communication are valued.

Qualifications

• Previous optical lab or optician experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of lenses, prescriptions, measurements, and eyewear.
• Comfortable operating an edger and lensometer.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently while being part of a team.
• Professional and dependable with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain optical lab equipment, including an edger and lensometer.
• Cut, edge, and prepare lenses accurately according to prescriptions.
• Identify lens types, including single vision, bifocal and progressive.
• Verify lens measurements and prescriptions.
• Assist with dispensing eyewear and ensuring proper fit and measurements.
• Inspect finished eyewear for quality and accuracy.
• Work closely with the Optician and staff to provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain and organized, clean, and efficient lab.
