Job summary

Middlebury College is hiring a part-time Operations Driver to support waste, recycling, and snow-removal operations. The role requires a valid license and safe driving record, plus experience with heavy equipment and routine maintenance.

You will perform load/unload tasks, assist with grounds work, and adapt to event support as needed. The position is benefits-eligible and pays $19.92–$24.40 per hour, scheduled for 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and a minimum of 2 years driving experience.
• Ability to obtain a Middlebury College license.
• Good driving record and driving skills required.
• Equipment operation experience is required.
• Willingness to attend safety trainings (RCRA and DOT).

Responsibilities

• Operates college trash, recycling and compost collection trucks and transports materials to designated locations.
• Operates forklift, bucket loader, and related equipment for loading/unloading.
• Performs seasonal grounds maintenance and other duties as assigned.
• Completes daily vehicle inspections and keeps records to stay compliant with laws.
• Assists with events, snow removal and grounds maintenance as needed.
