Job summary

Middlebury College is seeking a part-time Operations Driver to support waste, recycling, and snow removal operations. The role includes operating trash, recycling, and compost trucks and transporting materials to designated locations.

Instrumental duties include forklift and loader operations, assisting with grounds maintenance, and maintaining safety through inspections and training. The position requires a valid license and flexible scheduling including some weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and a minimum of 2 years driving experience.
• Demonstrates professional communication and strong time management.

Responsibilities

• Operate college trash, recycling and compost trucks, and load transports.
• Operate forklift, bucket loader, and related equipment.
• Support summer/winter grounds maintenance and waste handling duties.
• Attend hazardous waste/material handling training and follow safety protocols.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain records for compliance.
