Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Keep all store areas, including the stockroom and sales floor, in company-standard condition, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is not on-site, have direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates.
• Process all corporate directives, including pull and hold/destroy, task compliance, and key survey information.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
• Maintain sales effectiveness of the sales floor and seasonal areas.
• Manage cashiering activities to ensure proper cash handling practices are followed.
• Coordinate store signage and manage promotional displays.
• Process damaged merchandise daily.
• Assist with weekly scheduling and store supplies management.
• Maintain checkout area and store-front displays to maximize impulse sales.
• Refill coolers and program racks/displays daily.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
