Job summary

Strategic Education, Inc SEI is seeking a part-time Assistant Faculty to support online undergraduate CIS333, SEC340, SEC420, and SEC435 courses. The role requires a fixed weekly schedule (20 hours) and availability 6:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. ET on weekdays, plus weekends.

Applications should include unofficial transcripts for full consideration. Responsibilities include analyzing student activity, managing communications, grading, and tutoring under the lead instructor.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance or similar field required.
• Security+, CEH, or CHFI certifications; candidates without these will be asked to agree to a professional development plan to earn them within one year.

Responsibilities

• Analyze student activity within discussions and respond appropriately based on training and input from the lead instructor.
• Assist in managing student communications.
• Escalate unique issues to the lead instructor.
• Assist with grading and providing feedback.
• Monitor students’ engagement levels and provide recommendations to increase engagement.
• Assist the lead instructor with tutoring, live sessions, or other student support.
