Job summary

Brightmont Academy in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Part-Time Tutor to work one-on-one with students from 1st to 12th grade. You will tailor lessons to each learner's pace, building understanding and confidence. No lesson planning or outside work required.

You will teach directly in our one-to-one setting, enjoying a flexible schedule and ongoing professional development to grow your teaching skills. A bachelor’s degree in a related subject is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in your subject area (English, Social Studies, History, Government, Economics—anything that fuels your passion!)
• Patience & empathy: you understand that every student learns differently and you’re committed to supporting them every step of the way.
• A genuine passion to share your subject with the next generation.
• Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS)
• Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA, only) and pass a federal background check.
• Bonus Qualifications: Orton Gillingham trained
• A teaching certification - nice to have but not required!
• Advanced degree in specific subject area of expertise.
• Previous one-to-one teaching experience.
