Job summary

Brightmont Academy seeks a Part Time English & Social Studies Teacher for ~20 hours/week with a flexible schedule. Compensation is $24-30/hour. The role focuses on one-to-one instruction, allowing you to tailor lessons to each student’s needs.

The position emphasizes a stress-free environment with no lesson planning or outside work, plus opportunities for professional development. A Bachelor’s Degree in the subject area is required.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in English, Social Studies, History, Government, Economics, or related subject area.
• Patience and empathy: understand that every student learns differently and support them.
• Passion to share your subject and inspire students.
• Proficiency with G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS).
• Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA, only) and pass a federal background check.

Responsibilities

• Teach students one-on-one, tailoring lessons to their needs and learning styles.
• Help students reach mastery with a gradual release approach.
• Focus on inspiring students without extra workload like grading or parent conferences.
