Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an Oncology Research Nurse for three 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, at the KU Clinical Research Center in Fairway, KS. The role focuses on professional nursing care, data collection, and coordination of cancer treatment plans in infusion, biotherapy, and related services.

Eligible candidates will hold a high school diploma, ADN, and commit to completing a BSN within five years.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• ADN required; BSN must be completed within 5 years of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current active multistate RN license in good standing.
• BLS or BCLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and document in medical records.
• Coordinate care and communicate with providers and family.
• Manage IV therapy, hydration, and oncology treatments including chemo knowledge.
• Triage patients, identify changes, and escalate as needed.
• Maintain safety and quality through evidence-based practice.
