Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• RN state license and current registration.
• BLS certification and ongoing education requirements.
• 3-5 years nursing experience, oncology preferred.
• Oncology certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care.
• Assess health status by interviewing patient regarding current status and medical history.
• Collects and records nursing assessment and interventions.
• Reviews and reports health data and provides teaching to patients/families.
• Administer medications and therapies under physician supervision.
• Obtain pre-authorization and appropriate consent forms prior to therapies.
• Maintain documentation and patient confidentiality.
• Assist physician with exams and procedures.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and coordinate appointments.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up visits for patients.
