Job summary

Mashcole Property Management, Inc. is seeking an On-Site Property Manager for our Ventura, CA property. You will oversee daily operations, manage occupancies, and train staff to perform property management tasks effectively.

Position requires strong financial oversight, leasing expertise, and the ability to respond to emergencies. The role offers part-time hours (27/week) with weekend staffing as needed and is based at our Calabasas office location with outreach to Ventura properties.

Qualifications

• Position prefers 2 years’ experience in on-site property management.
• Tax credit experience preferred.
• 1 year as Manager preferred.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Computer skills include Word Processing and On-Site Rental System.

Responsibilities

• Understand financial goals and operate property in owner’s best interest per Policies and Procedures.
• Ensure rents and all fees are collected and posted on time.
• Make daily bank deposits and maintain accurate transaction records.
• Provide vendor/contractor communications for scheduling, billing, and insurance.
• Confirm leases and paperwork are entered into the system promptly.
• Maintain office and model units in pristine condition and process invoices and purchase orders.
• Submit weekly/monthly reports to corporate and keep records updated.
• Handle leasing/marketing activities and monthly market surveys to stay competitive.
• Oversee maintenance and preventive maintenance programs; ensure timely work orders.
• Respond to property emergencies and ensure safety compliance.
