Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore is seeking a part-time Driver for the St. Ann Adult Day Service in Baltimore. The role involves safely transporting participants, adhering to routing instructions, and following safety protocols.

Schedule is on call/PRN with on-site work requirements. Required DOT Medical Certificate and First Aid/CPR within 30 days from hire. Candidates should have at least 2 years of driving experience, a valid Maryland license, and ability to use basic computer tools for

Qualifications

• Exhibits courteous and professional demeanor with staff, clients, and visitors.
• Shows patience and composure when assisting participants and families.
• Maintains safety and security for patients and coworkers.
• Able to assist participants with mobility and daily tasks as needed.
• Comfortable using basic computer systems, email, and online training.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports participants to and from the facility daily as requested.
• Follows routing information and reports delays or changes immediately.
• Assists passengers boarding and exiting; ensures safety with wheelchair locks and belts.
• Monitors participants for changes and reports observations after trips.
• Performs pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and reports issues promptly.
• Keeps Vehicle Binder and Mileage Logs up to date and accurate.
• Notifies supervisor of accidents and invokes emergency contacts if needed.
• Complies with Workplace Safety guidelines and infection control measures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
