Job summary

Cater2.me in Oakland is seeking a friendly Catering Coordinator to be the frontline face of our client-facing operations. This part-time, on-site role supports event setup, meal service, and post-event breakdown, collaborating with the Operations team to ensure memorable client experiences and smooth service.

You will greet clients, manage timely arrivals, answer questions about ingredients and allergens, and help maintain a tidy service area while upholding Cater2.me's brand values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• COVID-19 vaccination as per local laws and company policy, for roles interacting with clients/vendors.
• Current Food Handler’s Card or ability to obtain one by start date.
• Punctuality, self-motivation, and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and a tenacious personality.
• Ability to lift 25+ pounds.
• Ability to stand for at least 4 hours.
• Weekday lunch shift availability.
• Background in customer service, hospitality, food & beverage, housekeeping, or retail preferred.
• Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Embody the Cater2.me brand and values in all customer interactions.
• Arrive at client sites on time to set up and break down Catering.
• Oversee meal service and replenish food as needed quickly and professionally.
• Keep the work area tidy and presentable at all times.
• Collaborate with the Operations team to resolve issues during service.
• Interact with clients in an open and hospitable manner.
• Answer questions regarding ingredients and allergens.
• Provide daily meal feedback through our web portal to improve menus.
• Relay information between clients, vendors, and Account Managers to optimize the experience.
