Job summary

Pitt State is seeking a Student Assistant – Electronics to support the School of Automotive and Engineering Technology on campus. The position offers 9 to 12 hours per week as needed, with a maximum of 20 hours, and involves assisting faculty with program tasks in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities include grading assignments, research, photocopying, typing, data entry, errands, laboratory setup, and handling internal and external communications. Some lifting of equipment may be required.

Qualifications

• Excellent work habits and self-motivation; ability to work well with others.
• Familiar with office equipment and software packages (MS Office).
• Accurate typing and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist faculty with program tasks as required (grading, research, photocopying, typing, data entry).
• Run errands and assist with laboratory setup.
• Handle outside communications (telephone, e-mail, etc.) and departmental tours.
