The University of Utah seeks a part-time UU Student - Electronics Shop to assist in fabrication, testing, and repair of electronic hardware. You will operate lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, and soldering stations, and support researchers across the Chemistry department.

Working 19 hours per week with flexible scheduling, you will help with circuit assembly, documentation, and shop process improvements while maintaining inventory and safety standards.

Qualifikationen

• Current University of Utah student and eligible to work 19 hours weekly.
• Interest in electrical engineering or electronics; able to work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; dependable and detail-oriented.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.

Aufgaben

• Assist with fabrication, assembly, inspection, and testing of electronic hardware.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, soldering stations).
• Troubleshoot electronic hardware and lab test setups.
• Support repairs of research instruments and assembly of circuits.
• Maintain parts inventory, documentation, and improve shop processes.
