Job summary

Marlborough Public Schools seeks Substitute Paraeducators for daily and on-call coverage across PreK–12th grades in Marlborough, MA. The role supports students academically, socially and behaviorally under supervision of teachers and special education staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Para-Pro test or 48 undergraduate credits preferred.
• Bilingual skills (Spanish and/or Portuguese) preferred for EL Paras.
• Prior experience in school setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction and supervision of students in inclusion, small group, or individual settings under teacher direction.
• Support students with IEPs/504 plans as specified.
• Assist with tests and curriculum-based assessments.
• Provide safety support and follow de-escalation/physical management procedures as trained.
• Attend training and maintain required certifications in de-escalation and safety.
• Collect data and report concerns/progress for individual students.
• Escort and supervise students to and from school facilities; collaborate with staff.
