Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate's Degree, pass the Para-Pro test or completion of 48 undergraduate credits preferred.
• Bilingual preferred (Spanish and/or Portuguese) and bilingual required for EL Paras.
• Prior experience in a school setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction and supervision of students in inclusion, small group, or individual settings.
• Support students with IEPs/504 Plans.
• Assist with test taking and administering assessments.
• Follow restraint procedures to ensure safety with training provided.
• Attend training and maintain certification in de-escalation and physical management techniques.
• Collect data and report concerns or progress information on students.
• Escort and supervise students to and from facilities.
• Collaborate with teachers and related staff to support learning.
