Job summary

Grouse Mountain Lodge in Whitefish, MT, seeks an On-Call Line Cook to join Pursuit's hospitality team. This part-time, on-call role starts at $22.50 per hour, with opportunities to contribute to high-volume and fine dining settings while maintaining quality and consistency.

You'll set up and stock prep stations, cook to recipe standards, support banquet and events, and communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hot line experience in a high-volume or fine dining kitchen.
• Strong understanding of cooking techniques, food preparation, and knife skills.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to recipe and quality standards.
• Set up, stock, and maintain prep and line stations for efficient service.
• Support banquet, wedding, and special event food production as needed.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including the dish machine when required.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and comply with all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.
• Assist with prep, cleaning, and other kitchen duties as needed.
• Support daily kitchen operations and perform other duties as assigned
