Part-time/On-call Building & Grounds Maintenance Position

Base pay range

$16.00/hr - $17.00/hr

Summary

The successful candidate will perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work in building and grounds maintenance to repair and maintain buildings, equipment, and facilities operated by Williamsburg Winery. Responsibilities include landscaping, groundskeeping, and general maintenance tasks.

Organizational Relationship

Reports directly to the Maintenance Lead.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance including painting, electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems maintenance.
• Inspect control panels and electrical wiring, replace defective switches, bulbs, and fuses.
• Paint surfaces and perform surface repairs using interior and exterior paints.
• Conduct inspections of premises and equipment; repair malfunctioning equipment promptly.
• Perform carpentry repairs such as replacing floorboards or fixing loose boards.
• Handle minor repairs like broken locks and wall damages.
• Maintain the appearance of the winery grounds through mowing, pruning, trimming, and fertilizing.
• Operate groundskeeping tools including mowers, weed eaters, pruners, and shovels.
• Assist with irrigation system setup, adjustment, repair, and cleaning.
• Remove snow and ensure outdoor safety during winter.
