Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) seeks a part-time Department/Administrative Assistant to support day-to-day departmental operations in New York, NY. The role faces front-desk responsibilities, student inquiries, and coordination with Banner, Argos, and 25Live.
The position requires an Associate's degree with 1–3 years of relevant experience; a Bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years in an educational setting are preferred. In-person work schedule is Tue/Thu and Fri with specified hours.
Reporting to the Department Chairperson, this position serves as an important point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and other constituents and helps ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the department.

Salary: $37.09 per hour
The UCE-FIT Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) dictates the compensation, benefits, and conditions of employment. Hiring Salary: $37.09 per hour with step increments per Salary Schedule 90, after 18 months of service and annually thereafter.
Days/Hours: T-Th, 11:30am-5:30pm & F, 11am-5pm; in person; work schedule subject to change based on needs of the department.
