Job summary

Havertys Furniture in Columbus, OH is seeking a Part-Time Office Assistant to join our store team approximately 10 hours per week. Responsibilities include processing sales and payments, answering phones, scheduling deliveries, and maintaining an organized office while delivering friendly customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1–3 years customer service experience preferred.
• 1–3 years cash handling experience or equivalent.
• General computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and O365 preferred.
• Strong math, communication, and customer service skills; highly organized and multitask-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Balance cash fund each morning and evening.
• Complete daily opening and closing procedure checklists.
• Prepare and reconcile bank deposits.
• Process customer sales and payments accurately.
• Maintain an organized, secure office environment.
• Answer calls, distribute messages, and manage store voicemail.
• Handle customer complaints and follow up on service tickets.
• Verify and schedule deliveries to ensure readiness for routing.
