Good Samaritan Society in Marshfield, WI is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assess residents and apply treatments to help them regain independence in daily tasks.

The role may involve supervising assistants and collaborating with providers, case managers, and family members to deliver comprehensive care across the department. Licensure in the state of practice is required and NBCOT certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as Occupational Therapist in state(s) of practice.
• NBCOT certification is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within first 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Conducts evaluations and provides interventions for residents and patients.
• Evaluates abilities and develops realistic therapy goals.
• Documents resident's/patient's information for evaluation and therapeutic plans.
• Provides education designed to enhance understanding and improve functional outcomes.
• Demonstrates and incorporates knowledge of current research into daily treatment.
• Provides ongoing education and training to peers in the area(s) of expertise.
