Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as Occupational Therapist.
• NBCOT certification preferred when working at Good Samaritan Society facilities.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients and design occupational therapy treatments to restore function.
• Evaluate physical, cognitive, developmental and psychosocial abilities; develop goals and appropriate programs.
• Provide client education to enhance understanding and improve functional outcomes.
• Supervise assistants, aides, and students as needed and share knowledge with peers.
