Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist (OT) in Spokane, WA to support patients in achieving independence and functional skills.

The OT will evaluate needs related to daily living, cognitive and sensory challenges, and collaborate with the treatment team to develop interventions and group activities. The role requires a degree in Occupational Therapy, current WA license, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• OT degree from an accredited program.
• Current WA OT license required for hire.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain prior to hire.
• Behavioral health or rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Experience facilitating therapeutic groups.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop individualized occupational therapy interventions.
• Plan and facilitate therapeutic groups and activities that support treatment goals.
• Develop age-appropriate programming for adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, recreation therapists, and other members of the treatment team.
• Document patient participation, progress, and treatment outcomes accurately and timely.
• Provide education and support to patients, families, and team members regarding therapeutic interventions.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment and respond appropriately during crisis situations.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and departmental quality programs.
• Support the orientation of new staff and provide guidance to occupational therapy students and interns as assigned.
