Job summary

Marklund in Elgin is seeking a Part-Time Occupational Therapist to support residents and students, with hours 9a-2p Mon-Thu or 9a-1p Mon-Fri. The role is based at the Elgin Nathan Education Center, offering an hourly rate of $40-$45 depending on qualifications and experience.

The role includes OT services, evaluations for IPP/IEP meetings, supervision of COTAs, and collaboration with staff. Illinois licensure and BLS CPR are required, with driving needed for program support.

Qualifications

• Licensed/Registered Occupational Therapist in Illinois.
• Current BLS CPR certification for Healthcare Workers.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Experience with OT treatment, evaluations & IEP meetings required.

Marklund is seeking a highly motivated and mission-centered individual for the position of Part-Time Occupational Therapist. The hours for this position are 9a-2p Mon-Thu OR 9a-1p Mon-Fri. The hourly rate for this position will be $40-$45/hr. based on qualifications and experience. This position is based out of our Elgin facility at the Nathan Education Center.

Responsibilities Include

• Provides and directs Occupational Therapy services to residents and students including assessments, goals, treatment plans, program planning and implementation, related documentation and communication.
• Perform annual evaluation for IPP and IEP meetings
• Performs duties as clinical instructor for potential OT students and supervises COTAs
• Assists with aqua therapy and orthotics as needed
• Provides training and in-services to staff and caregivers on occupational therapy related topics as needed
• Adheres to applicable principles and practices of occupational therapy, Marklund policies and procedures and state regulations

The Marklund Day School offers Multi-Needs and Life Skills programs for children and young adults with multiple medical needs, and those diagnosed on the autism spectrum. In addition, our Community Day Services program at each site is a therapeutic day program for adults who reside at Marklund and those who come in from the community.

Required Experience

• Licensed/Registered Occupational Therapist in Illinois
• Possess current BLS CPR certification for Healthcare Workers
• Valid Driver's License
• Experience with OT treatment, evaluations & IEP meetings required
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and to meet its functional and environmental requirements
