Job summary

Marklund in Elgin is seeking a qualified Intellectual/Disabilities Professional (QIDP) for our Community Day Services. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, 10AM–6PM, with on-call rotation at the Wasmond Center in Elgin, IL.

Starting salary is $50,960, with duties including IPP scheduling, program implementation, and caregiver supervision. We offer a mission-driven workplace with a focus on individuals with profound disabilities, benefits and opportunities for growth as part of our nonprofit

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services field.
  • One year paid experience with developmentally disabled persons.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal forms.
  • DHS QIDP

Responsibilities

  • Create IPP schedule for residents and assist with overseeing classroom schedule.
  • Develop, train, and implement Individual Program Plans for each resident on caseload.
  • Supervision of Caregivers regarding implementation of activetreatment programming and documentation.
  • Maintain facility active treatment program in compliance with IDPA/IDPH regulations by completing necessary paperwork and training.
  • Monitor, implement, and/or change any and all behavior programs and safety devices as necessary.
  • In-service appropriate staff members on goals, positioning, activetreatment, and equipment weekly.

Who We Are:

Marklund is a nonprofit organization that provides residential,educational and therapy services to infants, children, teens andadults with serious and profound developmental disabilities andspecial healthcare needs. With two residential locations – theMarklund Hyde Center in Geneva and the Marklund Wasmond Center inElgin, it is currently home to nearly 178 residents. The Marklund DaySchool offers Multi-Needs and Life Skills programs for children andyoung adults with multiple medical needs, and those diagnosed on theautism spectrum. In addition, our Community Day Services program ateach site is a therapeutic day program for adults who reside atMarklund and those who come in from the community.

Responsibilities:

Experience and Skills

Qualifications:
