Job summary

Baptist Health Beaches in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Part-time Nutrition Coordinator for its Patient Food Service team. You will assist patients with menu selections, coordinate with nursing, and ensure meals are delivered accurately and on time in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities include assembling meals, managing tray tickets, and collaborating with caregivers and culinary staff to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences.

Qualifications

• Assist patients in understanding menu selections and coordinate with nursing to ensure nutritional needs are met.
• Obtain preferences and modify tray identifiers accordingly.
• Support patient satisfaction and work with multidisciplinary team to improve quality care.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, cultural, ethnic or religious preferences.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to patient selections.
• Deliver and retrieve trays from patient rooms at assigned times.
• Communicate problems or concerns to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Performs other duties assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in understanding menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet their nutritional requirements or restrictions.
• Obtain preferences and modify tray identifiers accordingly.
• Support and promote patient satisfaction and participate with a multidisciplinary team to improve quality care/services to patients.
• Work with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for patients with food allergies and sensitivities; cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences; or when a patient inquiry about additional selections.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient's menu selection in a timely and accurate manner.
• Deliver and Retrieve trays from patient rooms at assigned times.
• Communicate problems or concerns with patients to appropriate personnel in a timely manner, following department procedures.
• Performs other duties assigned.
