Job summary

OVERLANDPARK HEALTHCARE is seeking a nursing leadership professional to supervise daily nursing activities and ensure quality resident care in compliance with applicable laws and standards. The role supports the DON/ADON and develops and maintains Nursing Service policies and manuals to reflect current best practices.

You will participate in committee activities, QA programs, discharge planning, and staff supervision, ensuring coordination across nursing and support services to uphold resident

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities to ensure high quality resident care while aligning with federal, state and local standards.
• Assist the Director of Nursing Services (DON) and/or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) as applicable to coordinate nursing services.
• Develop, maintain and update Nursing Service procedures and manuals to reflect current practices.
• Lead and participate in facility surveys and QA activities, and support the discharge planning process.
• Oversee staffing, assignments and supervision of licensed and non-licensed nursing personnel.
• Participate in committee meetings (Infection Control, Policy Advisory, Quality Assessment, etc.) and report outcomes.
• Ensure safety, infection control, and proper handling of medications and resident care procedures.
