Job summary

Kilgore College is seeking a Part-time Instructor for nursing education on campus in Kilgore, TX. The position requires current TX LVN/RN licensure and at least one year of long-term care experience, plus demonstrated teaching abilities.

Qualifications

• Hold a current license to practice as a licensed vocational nurse or registered nurse in the state of Texas.
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a long-term care setting.
• Show evidence of teaching abilities and maintaining current knowledge, clinical expertise and safety in subject area.

Responsibilities

• Participates in planning, implementing and evaluating the teaching-learning process in classroom, Skills Lab or clinical setting.
• Maintains accurate and complete course records as required by Kilgore College.
• Keeps abreast of current trends in education and nursing practice to improve instructional ability.
• Maintains public relations with clinical agencies to assess adequacy of clinical learning experiences.
• Refers students to appropriate references when indicated.
