Job summary

Portland Community College (PCC) is seeking part-time faculty for the Nursing Assistant program at the Sylvania Campus. Candidates may teach in lecture/lab and clinical settings and may be considered for substitute assignments as well as full-term class assignments.

This pool is for potential openings throughout the Academic Year; not a specific posted vacancy. Qualified instructors will be scheduled based on course needs and consent of program leadership.

Qualifications

• Hold a current Oregon RN license and have at least two years’ RN experience.
• Hold either Oregon RN or LPN license for clinical/lecture roles and have at least one year as a licensed nurse.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, instructs, and evaluates nursing assistant students in a clinical setting.
• Instructs and evaluates nursing assistant students in the lab setting.
• Communicates primarily with the Nursing Assistant program director.

Skills

Oregon RN license

RN experience (2+ years)

Teaching adults (course or 1 year)

Oregon RN or LPN license

Nursing experience (1 year)
