Job summary

Highland Community College in Illinois seeks a Part-Time Nursing Instructor to join our team for Spring 2027, teaching in classroom, lab, or clinical settings. The position is approximately 10–14 hours per week and includes supervision of students during clinical rotations at local facilities.

Requirements include an active RN license in Illinois (or Wisconsin if clinical in Wisconsin) and an MSN, with 2–3 years of direct Med/Surg or ICU nursing experience, plus strong communication and teaching

Are you an experienced nurse who wants to inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals? Highland Community College is looking for Part-Time Nursing Instructors to join our team in the Spring of 2027. This part‑time position is scheduled for approximately 10-14 hours per week.

• Supervise students during clinical rotations at local healthcare facilities.

What We’re Looking for:

Education and Experience:

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or Wisconsin if clinical oversight takes place in Wisconsin.
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is required.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of recent direct patient care experience in Med/surg or critical care nursing.
• Strong communication, organization, and a passion for teaching.
