Qualifications

• Requires BSN and Indiana RN licensure.
• Minimum 3 years nursing/patient care in medical‑surgical nursing.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Board certification preferred.
• Master’s degree in Nursing Education/Leadership/Clinical Nurse Specialist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates orientation for newly hired nursing staff and nursing support staff.
• Delivers just in time education based on learning needs.
• Facilitates communication between management, staff, and ancillary departments.
• Serves as a reliable source of information on the latest evidence in clinical practice.
• Acts as a change agent assisting in the implementation and sustainment of change strategies.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree BSN - Nursing

Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board

Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association

3 years Nursing/Patient Care Required in Medical Surgical Nursing

Board Certification (BRD CERT) - preferred

Master’s Degree Nursing Education/Leadership/Clinical Nurse Specialist - Preferred
