Job summary

Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our inpatient team. This part-time role covers 20 hours per week, with mornings or afternoons available, and no weekend requirements. You’ll assist with basic patient care under RN/LPN supervision and gain hands-on healthcare experience.

A CNA is preferred; if ND-trained, you must be on the ND Nurse Aide Registry or complete training within four months. A generous benefits package and sign-on bonus apply.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred.
• ND: must be on ND Dept. of Health Nurse Aide Registry after training/competency validation or within four months of employment.
• WI: must be on Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry or be a student nurse with clinical hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with basic health care needs including bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating, while supporting emotional and spiritual needs.
• Record vital statistics, blood glucose levels, and other basic health information.
• Assist with patient transfers and ambulation.
• Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare.
• Prepare and clean patient treatment areas, living areas, and medical equipment.
• Dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy.
