Beacon Health System in Elkhart, IN is hiring a part-time day shift Nursing Assistant for our Intermediate Care Center at Elkhart General Hospital. You’ll support patients with daily living activities under RN supervision and promote compassionate care.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and ongoing training. A high school diploma is preferred, CNA is preferred, CPR/BCLS within 3 months of hire is required, and you must be at least 17 years old.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 17 years of age.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• A Nurse Assistant certification is preferred.
• Must obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/CPR) within 3 months of hire and maintain certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living when delegated by RN.
• Keep the nurse informed of changes in patient information.
• Uphold Beacon values of respect, trust, integrity and compassion.
• Report to the Director and work within the relationship-based care model.
• Attend department meetings and complete mandated education and health requirements.
