Job summary

Southeast Health District - District 9-2 is seeking an APRN for the Infectious Disease Program, with a focus on HIV/AIDS and STD care. Under limited supervision, you will apply professional judgment to health promotion and disease prevention, and provide care for Ryan White clients, including lab draws and physical exams.

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in nursing, Georgia RN and APRN licenses, certification in the specialty area approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing, and CPR

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university per Georgia Board of Nursing.
• Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse and as an APRN.
• CPR certification and board-certified specialty credentials as approved by Georgia Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Perform work of considerable difficulty requiring independent professional judgment.
• Emphasize health promotion and disease prevention in the Infectious Disease Program (HIV/AIDS and STDs).
• Provide care for Ryan White clients; perform lab draws and physical exams.

Job Responsibilities

Under limited supervision and in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols, performs work of considerable difficulty requiring independent application of professional judgment, experience and skills emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention in the Infectious Disease Program with a focus on HIV/AIDS and STD’s. Providing care for Ryan White clients; providing lab draws and physical exams.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and/or other education requirements approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certification in the specialty area(s) approved by Georgia Board of Nursing and Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse and Georgia license as an APRN and CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with HIV/AIDS clients.
