Job description

We are now accepting applications for a qualified Part-Time Nurse - Pool at Belmont University.

Department: Student Health Services

Hours: Variable based on seasonal need.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Admit patients to the clinic, performing various tasks such as vital signs, history taking, etc.
  • Administer allergy shots, vaccines, and other injectables.
  • Assist with special vaccine clinics and initiate intravenous therapy.
  • Phlebotomy and processing of lab specimens, including requisite daily interaction with VPLS.
  • Order medical supplies, restock exam rooms, and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Perform procedures such as dressing changes, ear irrigations, suture removal, etc., and perform CLIA-waived testing.
  • Assist with wellness programming.

Required Qualifications:

  • Enjoys working with college-age students.
  • Flexibility of schedule.
  • Computer skills preferred - Word & Excel.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to respond to high-pressure situations. Ability to thrive in an environment of hard work.

Required Education: Current Tennessee license and CPR certification.

Required Experience: Registered nurse with experience in a clinic or office setting preferred.

The selected candidate will be required to complete a background check satisfactory to the University.
