Job summary

TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Nursing Extern (Part-time PRN) to support patient care under RN supervision. You will work on basic nursing tasks, perform ADLs, and contribute to a safe care environment for diverse patient populations.

Must be enrolled in an accredited RN program with current BLS certification and readiness to progress to higher-level procedures as competency develops. Join a team focused on quality care and compassionate service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification maintained as hospital policy.
• Student enrolled in accredited RN nursing program.
• Considered for Nurse Extern after first nursing semester or CNA in first RN semester.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate care for patient populations in the department.
• Communicate pertinent information to appropriate individuals.
• Deliver compassionate, holistic care while upholding patient rights and dignity.
• Document patient care information in the hospital systems.
• Assist with activities of daily living for assigned patients.
