Job summary
HealthDrive Corporation is seeking a part-time Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to oversee medical care for residents in sub-acute rehab and long-term care units. The role includes diagnosing, treating, and coordinating with the medical staff, administrators, and on-site teams, while performing exams and reviewing lab results.
The position emphasizes independent practice with collaboration, a three-day work week, and a training program designed to prepare APRNs for success in a dynamic post-acute
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in nursing or related field.
- Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the state.
- Board certification in NP.
- DEA/Controlled Substance license.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to facilities.
- Proficient with healthcare software, email, and record-keeping.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary and preventative care for residents in an assigned facility.
- Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays, etc.).
- Diagnose health conditions and illnesses.
- Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases; prescribe medications.
- Maintain accurate records and schedules.
- Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications.
- Oversee patients’ overall health.
