Job summary

DK Security in Michigan is hiring for a part-time security position. The role pays $22.19 per hour, with Thursday 1pm-8pm and Friday 8:30am-8pm shifts. This non-armed post emphasizes strong customer service, observation, access control, and patrol duties in a professional setting.

No prior experience is required, and veterans are encouraged to apply. A high school diploma or GED is required, with medical/fitness training and background checks emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• A Michigan CPL or LEOSA card is required to perform armed work (if applicable).
• Must pass a drug screening at hire and randomly thereafter.
• No felonies or certain misdemeanors; background checks per policy.
• Ability to sit/stand/walk 8-12 hours, lift up to 50 lbs (70 lbs for armed).
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification or willingness to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and act as a positive reflection of the company.
• Observe and report suspicious activities and incidents.
• Maintain security presence in lobbies, reception, and control centers.
• Conduct foot or vehicle patrols as required.
• Control access and verify IDs to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Maintain safety and enforce site policies; report safety concerns.
• Assist in emergencies and provide lifesaving care if needed.
• Communicate with client staff and site supervisor about issues.
