Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian in Queens is seeking a Nursing Attendant for the Part Time Night shift in the Progressive Care Unit. You will support nurses and ICU technicians, monitor vital signs, assist with meals, and help with safe patient transport in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The role requires prior nurse's aide experience or approved training, BLS certification, and current enrollment in a BSN program or completed clinical practicum.

Qualifications

• Previous Nurse’s aide experience or equivalent in a hospital setting.
• Certification from an approved Nurse Aide training program, or currently enrolled in a BSN program for nursing at the junior year level or had completed at least one clinical practicum.
• BLS from AHA HS Diploma/GED.

Responsibilities

• Monitor blood pressure and temperature of patients and record readings.
• Assist with delivery of meals and safe patient transport.
• Provide compassionate patient care under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Support nurses and ICU technicians to keep the unit running smoothly.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy patient environment and observe patient comfort.
