Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a Nursing Attendant for a full-time night shift at NYP/Queens Hospital in Flushing, NY. The role supports bedside care, monitors vitals, and assists in patient transport and meal delivery.

Candidates should have Nurse’s aide experience, a recognized Nurse Aid training certification, BLS, HS diploma/GED, and be enrolled in a BSN program (junior year). Mandatory orientation and rotating weekends/holidays apply.

Qualifications

• Previous Nurse’s aide experience or equivalent in a hospital setting.
• Certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aid training program.
• Currently enrolled in a BSN program for nursing at the junior year level.
• Had completed at least one clinical practicum.
• BLS from AHA.
• HS Diploma/GED.

Responsibilities

• Monitor blood pressure and temperature of patients.
• Provide comfort and caring as a certified nurse’s aide under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Assist with delivery of meals and safe patient transport.
• Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure.
• Demonstrate teamwork and support to nurses and other staff.

Education

Certification from Nurse Aid training program

BLS (American Heart Association) certification

HS Diploma or GED

Currently enrolled in BSN program (junior year)
