Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Ontario, OR is seeking a part-time Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support obstetric procedures and patient care on the night shift. The role includes setup for c-sections, assisting surgical teams, rooming patients, chart prep, vital signs, and basic patient care duties.

This position offers day-one benefits and potential eligibility for a sign-on bonus, with a 24-hour per week schedule on a 12-hour night shift (7pm–7am).)

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the NBSTSA or as a Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) by the NCCT required.
• Basic Life Support for healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist during overnight c-sections by providing setup and preparation of surgical procedures for physicians and staff under RN supervision.
• Support and communicate with surgical teams and supervisory staff; room patients, set up charts, take vitals, give baby baths, stock areas, and perform Unit Clerk and CNA duties as needed.

The Ontario OB Department is hiring a part-time Certified Surgical Technologist to join their team! What You Will Do

As a CST/Obstetrics Technician, you can expect to assist when overnight c-sections are required by providing setup and preparation of surgical procedures for physicians and surgical staff under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will also provide support and communicate directly with surgical teams and supervisory staff. The majority of your time, you will play a critical role actively supporting our department by rooming patients, setting up charts, helping take vitals, giving baby baths, assist the floor in stocking, and also function as a Unit Clerk and Certified Nursing Assistant to provide the exceptional patient care that Saint Alphonsus is recognized for.
