Job summary

Sherwood Pines Memory Care in Veneta, Oregon, invites motivated caregivers to join our team. You will support residents according to their service plans, monitor conditions, and respond to emergencies.

This role requires completing preservice dementia training and caregiver certification, passing a background check, and adhering to our policies. The position emphasizes respect, dignity, and compassionate care for residents.

Qualifications

• Must pass background check and complete preservice dementia and caregiver training.
• Treat all community members with respect, dignity, and compassion.
• Support and perform care as specified in the community member service plan.
• Assure community members are accounted for.
• Observe community members for changes in condition and report any significant changes.
• Respond to emergencies according to current policies and procedures.
• Complete incident reports per policy on assigned shift.
• Take and record vitals into community members’ charts.
• Promptly respond to calls.
• Tidy community members’ rooms and other common areas around the facility.
• Change linens and remove garbage.
• Complete laundry and ensure it is delivered back to the room promptly.
• Transfer and escort community members following care plans and safe practices.
• Document care was provided.
• Read and contribute to shifting reports and care notes to ensure continuity of care.
• Administer medications after medication class and approval from the Administrator.
• Report to the Administrator any signs of community member abuse or witnessed misappropriation.
• Have a neat and clean appearance and adhere to the dress code as policy indicates.
• Perform other duties as assigned or delegated by the nurse verbally or in writing.

This opportunity is located at Sherwood Pines RCF in Veneta, Oregon. Veneta is just a short 15-20 minutes from West Eugene. Sherwood Pines is a 16-bed memory care facility with wonderful residents. The additional weekend differential is also available.
