Job summary

Sherwood Pines Memory Care in Veneta, Oregon, is hiring a full-time Swing Shift Caregiver to join an Amazing Team that cares. You will support residents per care plans, monitor wellbeing, and respond to calls promptly.

Preference will be given to team players who can cover weekends and assist in roles such as shower aide or activities assistant; compensation includes swing shift and weekend differentials. Join our exceptional caregivers today.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background check and complete preservice dementia, preservice infection prevention, and caregiver training.
• Treat all community members with respect, dignity, and compassion.
• Administer medications after medication class and approval from the Administrator.
• Read and contribute to shifting reports and care notes to ensure continuity of care.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to pass a background check and complete preservice dementia, preservice infection prevention, and caregiver training.
• Treat all community members with respect, dignity, and compassion.
• Support and perform care as specified in the community member service plan.
• Assure community members are accounted for.
• Observe community members for changes in condition and report any significant changes.
• Respond to emergency situations according to current policies and procedures.
• Completed incident reports per policy on assigned shift.
• Take and record vitals into community members' charts.
• Promptly respond to calls.
• Tidy community members' rooms and other common areas around the facility.
• Change linens and remove garbage.
• Complete laundry and ensure it is delivered back to the room in a timely manner.
• Transfer and escort community members following care plans and safe practices.
• Document care was provided.
• Read and contribute to shifting reports and care notes to ensure continuity of care.
• Administer medications after medication class and approval from the Administrator.
• Report to the Administrator any signs of community member abuse or witnessed misappropriation.
• Have a neat and clean appearance and adhere to the dress code as policy indicates.
• Perform other duties as assigned or delegated by the nurse verbally or in writing.
