Job summary

Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, PA is seeking a part-time Security Officer for the night shift (3:30pm–12:00am), 24 hours per week, to join our Security Team and protect staff, patients, visitors, and hospital property. The Security Officer will patrol the campus, monitor CCTV, respond to emergency codes, and perform duties as assigned by the manager, while upholding Trinity Health Mission and values.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Ability to deal tactfully with co-workers, patients and visitors.
• Ability to manage aggressive or violent behavior non-abusively.
• 1 year hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Knows Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values and demonstrates them in behavior.
• Adjust communication for diverse populations (language barriers, hearing, etc).
• Patrols the facility.
• Monitors CCTV system.
• Responds to emergency code alerts.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
